'Where studio tans are worn with pride!'

hey everyone

im looking to buy a pair of active studio monitors, and i have done a lot of research and whittled it down to two options.

1. a second hand pair od alesis m1 mk II's for £90 + P&P

2. new tascam vl a5's £190 inc P&P

the main thing for me at this stage, (ive been working this out for a good while) is now price. should i snap the m1's up as they fully retail at £280 ish, but does the price indicate wear and tear?

or should i go for the more expensive (but still amazingly cheap for what they are) tascams. which are brand new. to be honest i cant really afford the tascams, but they are new ,and from what ive understood in like for like comparisons better.

any recommendations?

audio is what it is price doesnt determine what sounds good my suggestion is you ask to try both sets in your recording/mixing space and see what they sound like we do audio not sell toliet paper.I own a pair of krk rockit 5s they sound great and are fairly inexpensive at 125.00 us dollar per box
