About :

With over 15 years experience in the music recording and music tuition industry, Liberty Hall Studios is an evolving business, offering recording, live band rehearsal, various instrument and software tuition to customers throughout the UK. Established in 1993, the studio was brought up to high modern standard this year after a huge refurbishment. Liberty Hall Studios is located in East Barnet (Barnet).

The studio provides many artists and local community groups with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, in which to create their music. As musicians, the founders decided they would shatter the stereotype of the unsigned entry-level recording studio and create one the way it should be, at the price customers would like it to be. The result is Liberty Hall Studios.

Our Control room and recording facilities are like no other at this price range. Acoustically treated and comfortable, in this area you will be either working closely with one of our producers or lying back on the couch and reviewing the sounds you have just created.

Engineers :

PHIL CLEARE

Phil Cleare has been involved in music for around 15 years, mostly working from Liberty Hall Studios as an engineer and producer, but also having extensive experience as a live engineer in local and London based venues.

Along with the studio work he has also played session guitar on many diverse music styles as part of his production work, ranging from hip hop, country, metal and even Somali music. From this he has developed a strong rhythmic playing style and relaxed but heartfelt lead work.

Alongside the studio work, he has been involved with several bands over the years, either as guitarist or front man, favouring the heavier side of alternative rock and pop rock styles.


FRED LAGERGREN

Fred has been DJing and producing House Music since around 2000. Following his passion for all music from an early age and after learning many instruments through joining numerous bands, he taught himself how to record and arrange music on analogue tape machines and shortly after that, computers and sequencers.

After being introduced to the club scene he borrowed a set of decks and taught himself how to mix. When in 2001, he landed himself a gig and residency at the now legendary club night Smartie Partie.

Now Fred is an established DJ and producer in the Club scene working in clubs and studios internationally. Living in London Fred has his own studio and travels frequently to Sweden where he is involved in a number of studio projects and is to be starting a residency at Club Prisma Summer 2007.

Fred has recently signed a contract with SP Recordings, Smartie Partie's own label and you can still find him behind the decks at their world class club nights, (now at the UK's most famous super-club, Turnmills, London). Other promoters he is currently playing for include Glamourpuss (UK, Ireland, New York) and We Got Love (London, Sweden).
