Hi, I'm Dave, I run Heavy Groove Studio in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Heavy Groove is a rehearsal studio for local bands, and a small demo type studio.

I've been using Cubase for around five years on and off at home but for the last five months I've been making demo's with Doncaster's young bands in my demo studio.

I'm here for help and advice, and critique of my work. Please feel free to comment honestly!

First Six Months

Hello All,

I've uploaded a bunch of tracks for you guys to listen to. They are represenative of the work I've been doing over the last six months, since I went from true 'Bedroom Studio' to a small rented space in my hometown.

All of these tracks have been produced with minimal gear (total studio equipment is worth £2k tops) so no fancy compressors or outboard gear as yet.

I'd be grateful for your input and critique of my work so far. I know I've a lot to learn and that's why I'm here. Please… Continue

Thanks for the comment about a month ago!

Sadly they are not my talents, a good friend. Funny you should mention the vocal, I tend not to EQ his voice, i don't need to, all i need is a little compression :)

I like your work, i need to gain more experience working with bands. Have you ever worked with drum replacement software? I reckon that might give your stuff some extra edge.

Cheers!
