The studio is owned by Derek Gibbons, a 26 year old Scottish
Composer/Audiovisual editor and Television Presenter living in
London.
Derek has both MA and BMus degrees in music, and is classically
trained on both piano and violin.
Fully licensed and equipped with a range of hardware and
software, our studio is capable of working on music, audio mixes
and video editing to HD standards.

- The Roland FANTOM X8 flagship synthesiser forms the
backbone of our studio, along with a vintage KORG M1
and Yamaha CS1x. We have a choice of monitors
available: Event TR-8s, JBL, THX certified DOLBY DIGITAL,
and Beyerdynamic DT-100 headphones.
We have 3 computer systems - a QUADCORE Intel
QX6700 (4Gb), and 2 4Gb Athlon Dualcore PCs.
For professional results, our rig contains over 5000Gb of
storage with additional hard disk backup, Cubase 4, and the
NVidia 8800Gtx 768Mb graphics card for quick OpenGL
FX renders. Our audio setup runs on the Focusrite Saffire Pro
26i/o, the MAudio Delta 1010Lt and a Terratec Professional
soundcard. MIDI is catered for by the M-Audio midisport 8x8
and mixing by the Mackie Control automated desk.
Our 3 computer systems are linked via gigabit ethernet and FXTeleport.
Our fully licensed software suite includes Steinberg Cubase 4,
Cubase 3, Cubase 2, SONY Soundforge 9, Tascam Gigastudio 3,
VSL Vienna Instruments (Bosendorfer Imperial, Appassionata Strings,
Brass 1, Woodwinds 1, Solo Strings and the Vienna Special Edition),
EW Symphonic Orchestra Gold XP, Symphonic Choirs, Stormdrum,
Quantum Leap RA, V-Station, KORG M1/MDE-x/Wavestation Digital,

In between though, I loved listening to dance music and I cant get enough of a bit of cheesy handbag, balearic, funky or progressive house - or trance for that matter.
So I compose in both orchestral, contemporary and electroacoustic styles; hopefully all of the influences compliment each other.
I have written for a number of media and TV productions, mainly in my spare time from my main job as being a TV presenter.
