what do i put in here?

er, well my studio consists of my laptop, which is pretty sweet thanks for asking... my edirol keyboard (complete with knobs and faders), soundcard... and NOW Fostex PM-1s! (mmmm...)

i use Fruity Loops, or FL Studio as we should now call it, which IS the bollocks (don't go knocking the fruit here...) - i got a couple of vsts, mainly free stuff, mda fx plugins, them addictive drums and z3ta+, still working out what these do tho...

like i say been at this game for about 3-4 years now, a few mates are all into this too, using cubase, reason etc., don't really get them but each to their own. i reckon knowing others involved in something like this is a definite bonus, for remixes, tips, advice.. oh and the samples heh

so yeh, thats about it, go check some shit out and hit me up, i'm always down for collabos, remixes (either way), anyone with any musical skills are always welcome to chip in too.. most stuff never gets finished so any ideas r welcome n'all

also i record under the name of Sid Viscous for the more downbeat stuff, "Everybody's Doin' It" would be an example of this... check out the www.myspace.com/sidviscous for more, and peace!

fuck it

'ey. got a new tune up called fuck it. i'm not 100% on it and i've taken it down elsewhere but i'll leave it up here 'til i get the re-jig, jiggled, then replace it er it's a bit of a roller, stutter-y vox, kind of a bit Q-Project from like 2 years back - it's pretty good, still not happy with the lead and the sub is all over the gaff (dunno what happened there...), and the kick is a tad hard - it's only where i spin it in my car that i proper notice so yeh, i'll probably fix all that by say...… Continue

new tunes

4 newies:

Crushed
bit of a breaks-y type of jib - was trying to copy this downbeat dubstep track (i think the only thing resembling that now is the bass/lead sound), turns out i don't really do proper downbeat anymore, so here's a lil jump up tip instead...

Crushed VIP
all out remix of Crushed - i wanted to fix up Crushed a bit but for some reason FL Studio didnt like playing the track so back to the drawing board for this - i like it, way more in yer face… Continue

it's been a bit quiet... init?

Couple of new tunes added today:

Made in England

Bit of a random jungle cut, bit rough, but thats how it should be init?! And no, I'm not a racist... the sample just sounds the bollocks!

50 Ways to Rollout
I really dont like Paul Simon, so this is me taking the 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover break, and, well.. i dunno, just trying out something a bit different i guess...

Hey mate your stuff is cool, you're pretty talented in the old beat making department, where do you get all your samples from? That Everybody's Doin it sounds like DJ Shadow doing the James Bond theme, which is no bad thing. Maybe a bit darker though : )

Nice work!
