About :
Classical composer. I mostly write for acoustic instruments but have recently been playing around with live instruments + tape, working with found sounds and creating collages in Pro Tools. Secret Weapon :
Not afraid to use repetition. That's right, repetition. Do I need to repeat that?

current projects: working on an arrangement of a song by erik satie, at the request of a friend in the states. i'm arranging it (from soprano and piano) for soprano, vibraphone, mandolin, snare drum w/brushes, and tape. the main part of the arrangement has been done in finale, with the bulk of the overall work in pro tools, pulling together found sounds, creating and tweaking midi parts and so on. just about to the point where i can send off an mp3 to the commissioner - then i just need to work out how to make a proper score out of it all so the performers can find their cues in the tape part. definitely out of my comfort zone...

So I'm starting in on a couple of new projects - I've been playing with some new material, which I think will be turning into a tango… Continue
